A garden party was held in Poushali’s honor last night.
Lots of great food, singing, skits and dancing
If the wedding is half as energetic as the pre-party tonight is going to be a blast!

Gae Halud Ceremony
During this afternoon’s Gae Halud ceremony four banana trees were first planted to symbolize the wish for fertility for the new couple.
These trees were then tied together with red string to symbolize the bonds of marriage.
Tumeric paste and other traditional materials were then prepared.
Poushali then stood in the middle of the banana trees as the other ladies processed around.
The tumeric paste was then applied.
Henna Ceremony
Poushali was waited on hand and foot at this afternoon’s Henna Ceremony.
The colors and sounds were simply beautiful.
I’m don’t know much about Indian music but I can tell you that these ladies know how to sing!
The henna artists did a wonderful job of decorating the guests with the most intricate patterns.
